DRAGON BALL Z OST JAPANESE SERIES
The series aired in Japan on Fuji TV from April 1989 to January 1996 and was later dubbed for broadcast in at least 81 countries worldwide. Part of the Dragon Ball media franchise, it is the sequel to the 1986 Dragon Ball anime series and adapts the latter 325 chapters of the original Dragon Ball manga series created by Akira Toriyama, which ran in Weekly Shōnen Jump from 1988 to 1995. So basically, I'm asking for your advice guys.Dragon Ball Z ( Japanese: ドラゴンボールZ, Hepburn: Doragon Bōru Zetto, commonly abbreviated as DBZ) is a Japanese anime television series produced by Toei Animation. But it's just so hard to get used to! Not to mention, I'm watching the English version, so I might as well watch it with the English score. Shunsuke Kikuchi's score is considered by many to be the definitive Dragon Ball/Z score, so I feel I should watch DBZ with the proper scoring. I mean the Ocean Dub was heavily edited, and despite the catchiness of Wasserman's score, and the coolness of Brian Drummond's Vegeta, I feel I should just ignore my nostalgia. On the other hand, I feel kind of dirty for doing so. On one hand I'm tempted to switch to the Ocean dub, since I already own it on DVD (Saiyan Saga). Bruce Faulconer was my favorite, but he never did the music for the Saiyan and Namek sagas.
Even Nathan Johnson's score in DBZ uncut was pretty good. But I find myself missing Ron Wasserman's score from the Ocean Dub. I'd like to mention that this is the first time I've watched DBZ with the Japanese score, so I may not be used to it (at least not in DBZ specifically). It doesn't really fit with the pace of DBZ in my opinion. But for DBZ it just feels kind of awkward. Now, I think the Japanese soundtrack fit perfectly for Dragon Ball. The Funimation website only offers the Japanese soundtrack. So far, it's definitely been a trip down memory lane. And now I'm on episode 4 of Dragon Ball Z. I've finished Dragon Ball, and really loved it. As a guy in his mid 20s, I grew up with Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z like many people my age. Recently, I decided to re-watch the Dragon Ball series.
